Hi,

Working on building a NAS rig, and I got a former server (complete with a server chassis, a motherboard, a cpu and a psu. But tahat’s it) the cpu it has in it is an i3 2100. I plan on running some document and cad file NAS server stuff, CAD, and possibly a plex server. Is the i3 2100 good enough for this application? Or should I just go out and buy a new cpu? Also, as a general question for NAS builds, is multi core, or single core power preferred for this application?

Please help.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
